River bright hopes fabric sets

All the Sea Parrot fabrics you need to make the BLOCKS for the River Bright Hopes quilt. There is a free tutorial on my website. 

You will receive: 

 1. Eight fat quarters of beautifully soft, high quality craft fabrics inspired by plants and animals found on and around a British river. All original designs by me. 

From left: yellow flag iris, ripples, purple loosestrife, water crowsfoot, mayflies, minnows, weeping willow, reed mace. 

Each piece is approximately 22 x 18 inches or 56 x 46 cm. The fabric is 100% cotton and washable at 30 degrees. There is approximately 1/4 inch of shrinkage when first washed.

2. Five strips of fabric featuring birds found on a British river: kingfisher, dipper, coot, little grebe (or dabchick), mute swan, great crested grebe, grey wagtail, grey heron and mallard.

Each strip measures approximately 4 inches (10 cm) x 35-36 inches (89-91 cm). 

3. Two fabric strips featuring 3 species of damselfly found in the UK: Male banded demoiselle, Male large red damselfly and Male common blue damselfly.

Three fabric strips featuring 3 species of dragonfly found in the UK: male emperor dragonfly, female southern hawker, male broad-bodied chaser.

All strips are 100% organic cotton sateen and measure 4 inches (10 cm) wide and 11-12 inches (29-31 cm) long. The strips have a light blue background. They can be washed at 30 degrees, preferably in a cotton bag or pillow case to reduce fraying. The strip will shrink by approximately 1/4 inch after the first wash.

Please note: Each image 'square' is approximately 4 x 4 inches. This is not exact, because of the nature of fabric, and so the marks are only a rough guideline for cutting. To make 3 x 3 inch image quilt squares, cut each into 3 1/2 inch squares, with the image at the centre,  and use 1/4 inch seams.
